The new API SN standard is more stringent than the API SM and SL specifications in terms of resistance to aging (the average of oil change intervals is higher), it requires anti-oxidation properties that maintain a constant viscosity, avoiding sludge and deposits in the crankcase , anti-wear properties and dispersing power.
